I'm Gregory W Armstrong, a freelance web and graphic designer based in Berkeley, California. Welcome to my personal portfolio site.

I do graphic design for print and web, and I build custom HTML/CSS and WordPress-based websites. I work with small businesses, non-profits, organizations, professionals, and filmmakers to create original designs suited to their needs. The sites I make are built to be search engine optimized and mobile device compatible. Take a look at my web and print portfolios.

Being a freelancer lets me take a comprehensive approach. I work closely with clients from concept to launch, helping them determine what they need and what they don't. See what past clients have to say.

Please feel free to get in touch with me to ask about anything at all.

p.s. I'm also a filmmaker.

Room To Breathe

Custom Development

Room To Breathe is an eye-opening documentary film about the benefits of mindfulness training in public schools. The custom-scaling full-page background image looks right on any size display. The film premiered at Mill Valley Film Festival in October 2012.

No Look Pass

Custom Development

No Look Pass is an award-winning independent documentary film that needed a bold, eye-catching website to showcase its star. It also needed social media integration, and room to expand when the lauds and laurels started pouring in — which they quickly did. No Look Pass premiered on Showtime in June 2012.

Specialized Rail Service

Custom Design and Development

Specialized Rail Service needed their site to be just as functional and attractive on older platforms as it is on up-to-date systems. The design highlights their longstanding local roots, and incorporates a customer login portal for document access.

Pearson Snyder Schoolwork and Tutoring

Custom Design and Development

Pearson Snyder Schoolwork and Tutoring needed a site that showed what matters most to them - the students. The background is a fullscreen fading-transition slideshow featuring real students of this small tutoring business outside of Philadelphia.

Zach Behar Films

Custom Design and Development

Zach Behar wanted an eye-catching custom design in a WordPress-based site that he would be able to update himself. A plugin syncs to his Vimeo account, so his newest videos appear automatically on his site.
